Martin Winands, MA

Martin Winands (Dipl.-Päd.) studied Educational Science and Psychology in Bielefeld as well as Vienna from 2004 to 2009 (degree: Diploma). Until 2010 he was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research on Con-flict and Violence (IKG) at the University of Bielefeld. Since 2010 Martin Winands works as a Social Scientist at the University of Lüneburg and is an Associated Member of the IKG. Moreover he is as Lecturer at the Faculty of Educational Science at the University of Biele-feld. His research interests are conflicts and discrimination in football as well as socialization. In the past he and his colleagues at Bielefeld conducted an evaluation for the Hessian Football As-sociation (HFV) at Frankfurt. Furthermore he belongs to the counsellor of the Socio-Pedagogical Fan Project Bielefeld. Additionally he has published several articles and given diverse talks within the scope of football science. Currently, Martin Winands is working on his doctoral thesis “Interactions of Football Fans”.
